What did you do before joining us?: Server and a nanny. I went to the University of New Mexico.
What inspired you to join RVA Edge?: I created RVA to show that everyone can find their “edge”—an untapped strength, a unique ability, and a level of potential waiting to be discovered. I always underestimated what I was capable of because I wasn't challenged, and hadn't found the right opportunity. I want to be able to help people find their untapped potential.
What motivates you to grow personally and professionally?: To me, success isn't about status or possessions—it's about having the life I want to live. I want the ability to make decisions based on purpose, not financial limitations. I want to choose where I spend my time, who I spend it with, what opportunities I pursue, and how to create an impact without money being a factor that holds me back.
What is one lesson or value that has shaped who you are?: You always have a choice. Life will hand you challenges, setbacks, and circumstances that you didn't choose. But no matter what, something no one can take away from you is that you always have the power to choose your attitude, your response, and the direction of your future. I've learned that growth begins the moment you stop blaming circumstances and start taking ownership of your decisions.
What are your career goals over the next few years?: Build organizations that create a lasting impact.
Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?: Rock climbing, hikes, and traveling.
Share one fun fact that most people don't know about you.: I am half Japanese.

Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?: Spending time with family.

What did you do before joining us?: I was a warehouse worker. I did that for about two years.
What inspired you to join RVA Edge?: What inspired me to join RVA was that I was unemployed at the time doing crypto, and I wanted to get experience in something that I loved—and that was sales. It didn't matter if it was selling houses or mattresses; I wanted to get the experience, because my end goal was to own a business in one of those things.
What motivates you to grow personally and professionally?: Personally, one is my family. I want to retire my mom in the next five years and give my little brother a better opportunity in life. Second, my background: I come from an immigrant background, so it has felt like we've always had to work harder than everyone else and still not get as much out of it. Professionally, what inspires me to grow is being able to walk into rooms and talk to people doing what I want to do.
What is one lesson or value that has shaped who you are?: Taking accountability in everything that I do, even to the smallest thing—knowing that everything going on in my life is a direct impact of my choices, no matter how small they were.
What are your career goals over the next few years?: In the next year, to be Director and have a top-10 office. In the next three years, I want to be on pace for Regional Consultant with three to four promote-outs and over $500K saved, as well as starting to retire my mom and investing in my first real estate property. In the next five years, I want to be on pace for National Consultant with five to six promote-outs and over $1 million saved, my mom fully retired, and two real estate properties invested in.
Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?: Outside of work I like to eat and try different cuisine. I like to watch horror movies. I like working out. I like going out and being next to the water as well—rivers, lakes, and the ocean.
Share one fun fact that most people don't know about you.: Most people don't know that I'm Colombian and can fluently speak, read, and write in Spanish.

What did you do before joining us?: Before this I was doing over-the-phone real estate wholesaling and day trading.
What inspired you to join RVA Edge?: What inspired me was to learn a skill that can translate to anything.
What motivates you to grow personally and professionally?: What motivates me to grow is to be the best version of myself and be able to help my family live a good life.
What is one lesson or value that has shaped who you are?: The best lesson that shaped me was that you can't do it alone—the best way is to have a good team around you.
What are your career goals over the next few years?: My career goal over the next five years is to be on pace to hit Regional Consultant by the time I am 26.
Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?: Outside of work I like to watch TV and anime, go to the gym, and learn about history.
Share one fun fact that most people don't know about you.: A fun fact is that this is my actual first job.

What did you do before joining us?: I have had lots of jobs before this! Most recently I was a school bus driver for a public school.
What inspired you to join RVA Edge?: The prospect of being able to train my own team was very exciting to me when I accepted the position initially.
What motivates you to grow personally and professionally?: I think what motivates me is my desire to provide abundantly for my family and have the ability someday to be outrageously generous.
What is one lesson or value that has shaped who you are?: When I was 17 my mom sat me down and said, “Jacob, your words have power. You can either use them as a weapon to destroy or a tool to build. What are you going to do with them?” This question has been my north star in determining how I choose to live my life.
What are your career goals over the next few years?: Over the next few years I would like to have $100,000 saved. I will be a business owner and have the ability to live the lifestyle I choose.
Outside of work, what are some of your hobbies or interests?: I love movies! I think the artistry of film is wonderful. I like the classics and new stuff.
Share one fun fact that most people don't know about you.: When I was growing up there was a short season where we had 18 cats.
